Haryana Sale Deed
Official Property Transaction Document

Overview
A Sale Deed document (or a Title Deed) in Haryana is a legal instrument that formalises the transfer of property ownership or rights between the seller and buyer. It is a vital part of property transactions, such as purchasing, selling, or inheriting real estate, and serves as formal evidence of the transaction. The Sale Deed ensures the terms of sale legally bind both parties and provides a record of the property details, ownership transfer, and sale consideration amount.
Types of Deed Documents in Haryana:
- Sale Deed: The most common deed type used for property sales. It contains crucial details like the sale price, buyer and seller information, and property description. For it to be legally valid, the Sale Deed must be registered at the sub registrar offices.
- Gift Deed: Used when property is transferred as a gift without any exchange of money. Gift deed must also be registered to carry legal enforceability.
- Conveyance Deed: A general term covering all deeds that transfer property ownership, including Sale, Gift, and Exchange Deeds, ensuring a legal transfer of rights from seller to buyer.
- Lease Deed: Executed when a property is leased for a defined period. It includes details of the lease term, rent, and agreed terms.
- Partition Deed: Created when co-owners agree to divide the property amongst themselves, with specific portions allocated to each party.
- Mortgage Deed: Established when a property is used to secure a loan. The mortgage deed gives the lender a legal claim (legal validity) to the property until the loan is repaid.
